Samuel Larson Cuts Off The Dreads As ‘Glee’ Cuts Him From Season 5
Glee Season 5 looks like it’ll be losing yet another castmember, and Samuel Larson is celebrating that freedom by shearing his dreadlocks which easily made him stand out in a crowd or even amongst the students of McKinley High.
The last time an actor did this was the famous Felicity haircut that shocked everyone. Most fans are quite happy with the new look, but even Larson has said that Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy liked the dreads, but now that’s he’s been cut loose, he can do whatever he wants with it.
“‘I called my agent a year ago telling her I wanted to cut my hair because I thought it limited me too much. I wanted to try to get more mainstream roles, and she talked me out of it. I guess that [Glee co-creator] Ryan [Murphy] liked it and I’m okay with that, but I do look at keeping my hair as more of a burden.”
Many fans would disagree about the hair being such a burden (ask Whoopi Goldberg!), but with Glee over, he’s wanting to make sure to not get typecast with the look.
