‘The Hunger Games’ has unleashed it marketing attack, and after hundreds of showings are already sold out, it’s surpasses the ‘Twilight’ advance ticket sales record set in 2010. Here’s a slew of new images to check out below.
It won’t hit theaters until next month, but marketing for ‘The Hunger Games’ is being unleashed steadily with a major star tour coming to a mall near you. Remember hearing about those happening back in the 80’s with Debbie Gibson and Tiffany? Summit is making sure to create another ‘Twilight’ momentum, and they’ve already surpassed that with advance ticket sales.
Fandango reported that ‘The Hunger Games’ accounted for 83 percent of the site’s totals. In fact, sales were so high, the movie has already trumped another beloved adaptation: ‘The Twilight Saga’. The Hunger Games toppled ‘Eclipse’ for Fandango’s top first-day advanced ticket seller, previously set on May 14, 2010. I’m sure Andrew Stanton wishes he could have directed this or least gotten Disney to put out even ten percent of the marketing genius that ‘The Hunger Games’ has gotten.
Rick Butler, the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Fandango, stated, “The Hunger Games is off to a fantastic start. Yesterday we saw the biggest first day advance ticket sales in our company’s nearly 12-year history – which is especially impressive for a March release and a non-sequel.” Fellow Fandango exec Harry Medved concurs, “Even in the fact of big openers like Act of Valor and Tyler Perry’s Good Deeds, the advance ticket sales for The Hunger Games are still going strong. According to a Fandango poll, it’s the most anticipated new franchise of the year.” Read More: http://bestmoviesevernews.com/hunger-games-breaks-records-new-images-3030/
